The Norm
The norm is....the norm. I'm smart huh? Anyways, New Testament Church Pioneers sent a group out to Pastor Morales church El Iglesia Baptista de Calvario. In English it is Calvary Baptist Church. We worked in the children's church because none of us spoke good enough Spanish to speak to the Spanish upstairs. We had a wonderful time. I worked in the nursery with 4 other girls because their 25 kids!!!! But we had a good time. The babies were so cute. One of them just wanted to be held and was soooooo good. Some of them started crying but soon we had that cured by Honey Nut Cheerios in 5 minutes. In the newborns to two year old section we had 7 kids. The rest of them were in the 3 to 4 year old section. We did the Sunday school and Sunday morning service childrens ministries. I did nursery for both services.
For the teen class, they did two skits: Beans and Monster. Then they sang a song called Last Blood. We must have practiced it for hours. During the morning service they had children's church. They had puppets, games, songs, and skits. It was great. I could hear the kids laughing and yelling in the nursery. We had three puppets: Tyronne, Daisy, and Cornflake. Cornflake was the cutest puppet I have ever heard. Micheal Price did the voice and he sounded so cute. He was small and fuzzy and just so tiny. It was awesome.
The pastor's wife cooked us some good chili on Saturday night and we played Mafia for like 2 hours. It was so awesome to have some good fellowship. The pastor has three daughters: Gabrielle, Danielle, and Natalie. They are very nice and we enjoyed staying at their house.
All of the people who went with New Testament Church Pioneers (NTCP) were Micheal Price, Joy Waldschimdt, me (of course), Jessica Parker, Jen Cole, Jen Griggs, Joy Juarez, Ruth Durhammer, Kelly Prytle, Ben Layman, and Gary (don't remember last name lol). We had a blast and the pastor was very encouraged by our arrival and asked if we could come back again.
Well that is my blog for today. I hope someone reads it. Oh well I will just leave with this saying,
"It's not Mickey Mouse and Kool-Aid, y'all!"

GOODBYE SUPERMAN!!
I should have posted this earlier but I kept forgetting too.Yes, it has happened. Superman has retired and left the game of football to live another life. I knew it was coming but I can't deny the fact that it took me by surprise. He was Superman and I wanted him to play on forever. He was such fun to watch and I only wish that I could have seen him in person just for five minutes. See his rocket balls or just see him do what he does best.
Well, Superman it will be hard without you but you left a legacy. You were a legend; a true mark on the history of football. For a long time you will be remembered as one of the best because you are one of the best. From the moment you stepped on the field to the moment of your last game in Lambuea, you were consistent, hard-working, determined player. No matter what happened, you were always a winner. You gave your best and we had fun watching you. You brought the game of football back to what it was meant to be: a guy just having fun doing what he does best. We will miss you Superman. We love you Superman and we will always remember you. Your retiring your suit into some civilian clothes and fading into obscurity. We will never forget you! Goodbye Superman

BACK TO SCHOOL! : (
So the question that many have asked and I am sure will be the topic for days to come, how was your spring break. Well mine was awesome. I got to hang out with my family, church, and friends. I also got to see snow. Fifteen inches in fact. Yes that's right FIFTEEN inches of pure white snow on Saturday. It was blizzard like conditions in Columbus, Ohio and a warm 20 or so degrees. Yahoo!!! I was having fun. NOT! Lol. Oh well, we had spaghetti and meatballs that night which was delicious if I might add. My mom made homemade chicken soup that day so I had some of that. On Friday, we went to Smokey Bones and I had some steak with potato and broccoli. It was pretty good but not as good as my Dad's steak which I had on Monday. On Sunday night, my brothers and I played games with Steve and Melissa, Carrie and Shawn, Luke, and Austin. We played Fact or Crap and Would You Rather. They were really fun and it was good to spend time with them again. On Monday, I got a haircut, visited some people at Mickey D's (McDonalds for the rest of you all), and then I went out with Stacey and we went to Applebees and had a good time. It was nice to see her. I haven't seen her in about six or seven months. Long time.
I got a new outfit and a new dress. My dress is black with red roses with gold leaves and my outfit is a fuschia blazer with a black top and a black and fuschia skirt with swirly things on it. Lol. My mom also got me some supplies and I got a haircut. Nothing really major only a trim and I had some layers put in.
So it's back to school and right now in Tennessee it's a warm 51 degrees. Finally warm weather!! But school is going okay today. I am definitely not ready for school. I think we should have had at least a day off so that we could adjust but we were literally thrown back into school. Well everything is seeming to be okay now. I will write again soon.

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!
It's finally that time. The time for spring break. HIP!HIP!HOORAY!!!!! I am going home and very excited for it. Well nothing has been really going on since the last time I wrote y'all. We had midterms last week as most of you all know. It went fine. Most of my midterms that I took I received a B on them, the only one that I don't know the grade on is Bible Doctrine Two because I took it on Friday.
Anyways, tomorrow is the day that we leave and we are leaving right after our meeting in the morning. I am so excited. I am planning to hang out with some of my friends and family too. On Friday night, we are going to Der Dutchman for a family get-together and on Thursday we are having shrimp scampi. YUM!!!!!! I am so excited to finally have some home-cooked meals.
Brittany, my roommate, and Diana, my dorm-mate, are in England now. I so wish I could be with them right now. Oh well, it wasn't God's will for me. Pray for them and the choir and Pastor Sexton as they minister to the English churches. Also pray for a lady in my former church, Ann Vogel, she has two blood clots. One is in her lungs and the other is in her leg. Please pray for her. Continue to pray for my Aunt Sue as she is waiting to hear from her doctor on the actions to take to get rid of her cancer.

Midterms
So last week was pretty good. I turned in my Bible Doctrine Two notebook yesterday and I received a 90 on it. I was happy although I thought I should have gotten a higher grade. Oh well, a 90 is good. I turned in my Business Communications Two notebook today. It was complete and the only thing that possibly could be wrong with it would be that it is 1 1/2 inches thick instead of one inch. I don't know what I will be getting on it until Wednesday when I get the notebooks back. Today I had a midterm in Business. I think I did pretty well. I have three midterms tomorrow. However two of them are just having to go into class and saying if we read books and handing in papers. So it's not that bad. I might be going over to Shannon Giallourakis' tomorrow. She and I are having a bible study together and I am learning a lot. I am really gaining more by reading the Bible and praying the way she showed me from the Bible.
Then I have one midterm on Wednesday-Bible Doctrine Two and one on Thursday-VISTA. After that on Friday we have no classes. hopefully my roommates and I will be able to go out to eat. We don't know exactly where we are going but we are going. LOL. On Saturday, the college is going to a putt-putt place. I don't know if I am going to go I may it depends on how long the visitation lasts. Well I have to go finish reading a book and I will definitely blog more later. So talk to y'all later.

My Week So Far Continued
So to continue my blog from yesterday. My classes went pretty well and it did get better when Mr. Fox, our Methods of Bible Study teacher came into our class and told us that he was going to curb the grade for the test. It was a glad moment and then in choir practice Mr. Gray, our assistant choir director, let us go a half an hour early. Wahoo!!! It was awesome. I feel a lot better now that I got a better night's sleep. Thank y'all for praying for my Aunt Sue. They found cancer but it is in the early stages. So continue to pray for her but pray for her salvation most of all.
There is really nothing much going on this week. We have midterms next week. :( Oh well please pray that I do well. I need all the help I can get. Crown's last home basketball game is on Friday and I probably will be going. My parents and brothers are going to NY soon to the huge Youth Rally they have there. I so miss going to that. I wish I could go but maybe when I graduate I will be able to go.

Well I have a lot of homework to do. I have two notebooks due and I also have a paper due tomorrow, so I better stop blogging and start writing. Love y'all
